What a great time I had this morning! Walking along just before sunrise I discovered a little loggerhead trying to make it to the surf.



I picked him up and waded in knee deep and set him free.....turning around I saw 2 women up on the beach and they were on their way down with a bucket-full of baby turtles but they had socks and sneakers on.



I offered to bring the babies into the surf.........What a blast!! The ladies were from the Amelia Island Seaturtle Watch and an army of red ants had attacked the nest. The babies were just about ready to break out and head for the sea so they decided to give them a helping hand!
